Our 1984 33' Winnebago Chieftain
Exterior is in pretty good shape. Painted and sealed the roof. Door had some rotten wood. Replaced wood & lock.
Couch is pretty worn. For the most part, the old Winnie is in pretty good condition. We chose this unit because of the age, low mileage, floor plan and of course the price.
After we cleaned up the outside and painted the roof, the first thing to go was the 25 year old carpet. It was horrible. We found enough hardwood laminate, at Habitat for Humanity to do the entire living room and will probably have enough to do the bedroom. We removed the carpet and pad and cleaned the sub-floor with an Eco-Friendly cleaner, Item #: 35620 Bleach Alternative Powder, prior to installing new 1/4" plywood. The new floor is great, and Gracie our dog, loves it. Removing the dinette was necessary to give us additional computer space. We only use the dinette while eating, so it was a good choice to reduce its size. We will keep you up to date as we make more changes...... keep watching. Videos: align="center"> |
